About this Event:
This is a traditional course which is three sessions. You must attend all there sessions to complete this course. Two evening courses will include instructional videos, time spent with Michigan conservation officers, a first aid session from a local fireman, and personal demonstrations and testimonies on being a safe and responsible hunter. The Saturday session is most of the day and will involve live shooting of a 20 ga shotgun and 22 cal rifle. There will be workstations such as compass course, how to cross obstacles safely and a shoot/don't shoot scenario station. Saturday will also be review of course material and a test. Please bring a lunch, eye and ear protection for the live fire ranges and dress appropriately for the weather.

- In person, traditional classroom setting including hands on training.
- Minimum of 10 hours over a minimum of two days.
- Written test (80% or better to pass) and practice assessment (pass/fail).
- Maximum $10 fee.
- No minimum age requirement; however, students under 10 years of age shall be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other adult approved by parent or legal guardian.
