About this Event:
This is a TRADITIONAL CLASS offered at no cost by the Harbor Springs Outdoor Club. We will have on site, classroom hours on August 4th and August 6th, with a required FIELD DAY on August 8th. If you would like to go over material early, books can be picked up at the HSOC to be reviewed. (It is acceptable to review material online, but the Kalkomey website charges you.) It is suggested that parents/guardian remain with students 12 and under, but it is REQUIRED for students 10 and under. Class is scheduled 8 am to 12pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and from 9-3 on Saturday’s Field Day, but it is likely to end earlier. Please make sure students have a number to contact their ride, as cell service is spotty and they may need to use the land line. When you arrive the day of, the class is held in the building. The range is active, and there most likely will be shooting. Please do not park in front of shooting line. Park up by the building or in the grass opposite of the shooting line. We will provide all equipment necessary for the different events. New this year, ALL INDIVIDUALS on the HSOC property are required to sign a waiver of liability; these are available on site from our Range Manager. For individuals under the of 18, these must be signed by a parent/guardian. (A copy can be emailed upon request, should your teenager be planning on driving themselves or carpooling with friends.) Per the DNR, no one is allowed to bring firearms into the classroom, even licensed CPL holders. Leave any firearms locked up at home or in your vehicle. If you have any questions or concerns about the class, contact Ryan McRae via email rmcrae980@hotmail.com or text (618) 367-2797.

How do I register my child for a class if they do not have an email address? It is very common that the student looking to register for a class does not have an email of their own. To solve this predicament, we created a process called "Linking Accounts". By creating an account of your own and "linking" the student to that account, you now have the option to sign them up for a class with your own email. All communication about the event will be sent over to you making it easy to keep track of things. Steps to create a linked account.
